Part I: Sprout

Purpose
The concept of Sprout(Bal-a, 發芽) is a reference to the direction and volition to focus on and realize the potential of Korean art. It shares the idea of sustaining and developing, taking future-oriented potential with the culture and arts of Korea, the highly regarded collections at the Kansong Art Museum. Hunminjeongeum Haerye Copywill perform that particular role for Part I Sprout.

Hunminjeongeum Haerye Copy supplements the Hunminjeongeumitself with explanations and examples of the principles of the invented system. It is an emblematic treasure of the Korean culture which clearly manifests innovation, artistic talent, pragmatism, science and technology, and King Sejong’s love and care for his subjects. In order to reflect the significance and soul of Hangeuluponthetrends of contemporary art in Korea, themes have been subcategorized into Discovery, Interactivity, Imagery, Utility, and Popularity. It is to cherish Hangeul not only as a brilliant heritage, but also as a means to consider diverse future for Korean culture and arts.
